Security isn’t her product, but it is her problem — her tenants judge her by how fast things get fixed.
Security isn’t your product. It’s still your problem.
Managing security across buildings you don’t sit in is a different problem from securing one building, and most of the difficulty isn’t the alarm. It’s everything around it: people joining and leaving, contractors needing access on a Tuesday and not after, sites whose codes nobody has audited since the last manager left.
We have had alot of crappy experiences in the past with “oh it’ll get fixed next week” or “oh, that’s going to cost you xx” for not great equipment.

Every site in one place
Camera feeds from different locations can sit side by side in one view, so checking on something takes seconds rather than logging into a separate system per building. For anyone responsible for more than one address, that is most of the daily friction gone.
Where you need to control who gets in and when, that’s card access, and it’s worth scoping alongside the alarm rather than after it.
When something happens, we don’t need you to be there
This is the part that matters most when you’re responsible for a building you’re not standing in.
When an alarm signals, our monitoring station doesn’t wait for you to notice. An operator starts calling immediately — not after someone spots an app notification — and if nobody answers, they work down the contact list you’ve given us, alternate after alternate, until they reach a person. If nobody can be reached and the alarm can’t be verified either way, it’s treated as real and police are requested.
That’s why we’re particular about your contact list, and why it’s worth revisiting when your staff change. For a manager with several buildings, the contact list is the system.
What the calls are usually about
Most of what you’ll actually ring us about isn’t dramatic. Across years of service requests the pattern barely moves: batteries, sensors drifting out of alignment, a panel wanting a reset, and questions from somebody new who needs to learn the system. Those get answered — here’s what a service call involves.
I’m a Commercial property manager and ever since we’ve partnered with Epic alarm the service we have received and been able to provide to our tenants has been nothing short of “epic”. From efficiency, to quality, to communication, to transparency…
