Two in 12 months, then a fee
Each false alarm beyond 2 in a 12-month period is assessed a fee.
The fee is set by council resolution, so confirm the current amount with the city. The city may also refuse to respond to a system with repeated false alarms.
Code reference. Stanton Municipal Code Chapter 5.40, Secs. 5.40.020 and 5.40.030.
Written applications for auto-dial alarms
The code requires a written application for systems that automatically direct-dial an emergency response agency.
The chief of police approves those applications. Most monitored systems report to a central station instead, and we check the current requirements for your address before installing.
Our step. We confirm what applies to your system type.
